LOVE Foundation will be speaking and participating in this community wide event. From Urban Lights:
"On Saturday, February 13th at 5:00pm, the Urban Lights choir is offering a free concert. We hope you're able to join us for some wonderful music, special guest performers and speakers, and an opportunity to expand your heart. Our incredibly talented group of singers and musicians want to share a beautiful musical journey with you. We aren't asking for anything other than your time and your compassion.
Los Angeles is in need of a heart change. Will you help us?
This concert is being held at the gorgeous Cathedral Center of St. Paul in Echo Park. It will feature an array of "socially conscious music" performed by some of L.A.'s best singers and musicians. We will also have guest speakers, and we are working to get other organizations involved in the hopes that together we can find a way to end the homeless epidemic. Even just coming to enjoy the music will go a long way in creating lasting change.
This isn't about religion or politics. It's about generating more love and compassion in our beautiful City of Angels. There are human beings - 44,000 in L.A. county alone - who are suffering. If you have ever suffered in life for any reason... losing a loved one, struggling with money, feeling alone, lost, outcast... then you understand what a toll it can take on us. Most of you reading this message, however, are fortunate enough to experience suffering only intermittently. Imagine if it were your daily existence. How would you overcome it? Who would help you? Who would care?
It's time for a change. It's time to care."
